Vorratslernen in Seminaren mit einem Wirkungsgrad von weniger als 10 % kann diesem Bedarf nicht einmal annähernd gerecht werden. Die Mitarbeitenden müssen sich vielmehr auf Herausforderungen in der Zukunft vorbereiten, die wir heute noch nicht kennen, auf Berufe, die noch gar nicht existieren und auf die Nutzung von Technologien, die noch gar nicht entwickelt sind.

Dies wird nur möglich sein, wenn die Mitarbeitenden ihre Fähigkeiten, selbstorganisiert und kreativ mithilfe digitaler Systeme zukünftige Herausforderungen zu bewältigen, also Kompetenzen, aufbauen und dabei flexibel, vorausschauend, initiativreich, aber insbesondere mit einer klaren Werteorientierung, handeln. Die Lernwelt muss ein Spiegelbild der Arbeitswelt sein. Werte- und Kompetenzentwicklung kann nicht getrennt voneinander behandelt werden, weil Kompetenzentwicklung immer die Verinnerlichung von Werten als Ordner des selbstorganisierten Handelns voraussetzen.
